As I stepped off the plane onto the tarmac of Kuwait International Airport, the dry desert air welcomed me with a warm embrace. My journey into this small but culturally rich country had begun.

In the desert, I marveled at the endless sea of sand dunes, sculpted by the wind into mesmerizing patterns that seemed to stretch on forever.
